The Bookcase, Hebden Bridge
This is a launch event for Charlotte Wetton’s new pamphlet with the Emma Press, Accessioning. Charlotte is a wonderful poet whose earlier award-winning publication I Refuse to Turn Into a Hatstand (Calder Valley Press) is full of adroit and surprising glimpses below the surface of everyday life and human relationships. I love it and I’m super excited to be the guest reader for the launch of her new one. We’re starting at 7pm and it’s free, just rock up!

Words and Music at the Skep
A day of dreamy indie and a poetry line-up to die for (including Jess Mookherjee and Rory Waterman), in the idyllic pastoral setting of Rolvenden Layne in rural Kent. Starts 2pm, goes on late, as poets and musicians alternate on two stages, and you stuff your face with delicious food cooked on site and locally made booze. It’s a really enjoyable and friendly day and there’s fun stuff for kids to do as well involving bubbles. Find out the full line-up, how to get there, and more at the event website.

In the meantime check out these recent videos, brought to you from my home in Sheffield through the magic of the internet, my Huawei P20, and a holder for the Huawei P20 which my kid made out of Lego.
